Oily face is one thing most people struggle with, especially the ladies. Oily face can be quite manageable during winter but quite maddening during summer or heat seasons.
I remember telling my friend that the oil on her face can be used to fry chips if extracted. While some have this issue, some people have a perfect skin; not too dry and not too oily.
From studies, your face may be oily for a variety of reasons, including hormone swings, stress, humidity, and heredity. The good news is that there are steps you can do to lessen oily skin and the likelihood of breakouts, such as routine face washing, DIY skincare solutions, and topical prescription drugs.
Our skin needs sebum, an oily material to operate correctly, when it secretes too much of itself, it results in oily skin. The primary characteristics of oily skin are as follows: breakouts often and shiny. fewer obvious wrinkles. To prevent or reduce an oily face to a bare minimum, you are to do at least five (5) of the following.
1. WASH YOUR FACE REGULARY: Water has a major effect on the skin, as it removes dirt and any oil secreted on the face. When oil on the face are left without cleaning, it tends to cause any form of face acne. Washing your face at least two times daily is essential. Don't scrub your skin when washing, not even to get makeup off. Your skin becomes more inflamed as you scrub, which might worsen its appearance.
2. FACE EXFOLIATION: The good thing about exfoliating your face is that, it drastically reduce oil on your face and also removes dead cells. There are many exfoliating products, it is necessary to chose which is best for your skin to avoid other skin issues. 3. ALWAYS MOISTURIZE YOUR FACE: You can get confuse here because you might also say, why should I moisturize when I want to reduce excess oil on my face. Here you have to be picky when choosing your moisturizer at a store, because you shouldn't buy a product that has oil in it. There are selective moisturizers that are meant for oily skin and its purpose is to make the skin soft at the same fighting oil on your face.
4. USE ONLY OIL-FREE PRODUCTS: Someone with an oily face should not for any reason use products that has oil in them. If you do not always check and read product labels, start doing so now. Because apart from a natural cause of oil secretion, using a wrong product for the skin can cause irritation which further causes more oil secretion on your face. Choose only products that are oil-free from your foundation, to primer, setting sprays etc.
5. EAT THE RIGHT FOOD: Eating food like cakes, pastries cookies, nuts increases oil secretion on your face. Therefore it is important to eat little or no amount of these foods. However some fruits assist to modulate the oil on your face. Fruits like grapes, banana, cucumber, pineapple, avocado assist with an oil free face. Eat food with high fiber and vegetables.
6. YOU NEED FACIAL TREATMENT: Use face clay or masks as appropriate. Mineral-based masks can remove oils from the skin and lessen shine without causing skin irritation. To avoid the skin drying out, use them infrequently and follow up with a light moisturizer. You should choose exfoliating facials for oily skin because they can help clear clogged pores and get rid of impurities and extra oil.
